Ok it is the most expensive sandwich toaster but it is excellent. Straight out of the box you realise this is a well made practical appliance. Solidly made in stainless steel with easily removable plates to put into the dishwasher.As for the sandwiches, they always come out fully toasted and sealed, no sticking soggy sandwiches with this beauty. I've made the usual cheese toasties with ham etc and also beans and cheese etc etc etc, all great.The removable plates initially put me off as our George foreman grill has removable plates and it doesn't work as well as our small old one which was used to death. But no worries here it heats up quickly and has performed very well up to now.

I've never been so disappointed in a product in my life. I saved for ages to buy this and although I have followed the instructions to the letter on toasting the sandwiches (season with oil etc, use melted butter to 'brown' the top of the toastie etc)they still leak everywhere and stick to the coating. The only good thing is that the plates are removeable for cleaning but today, after only 4 uses using plain old ham and cheese, the teflon is failing. Very very poor for such an expensive product. I've asked both Amazon and Cuisinart for help and it will be interestig to see what they say.

First time use todaySprayed plates with olive oil and wiped over with a kitchen towel and left to heat upMade Cheese and Tomato toasties and coated both sides of bread with Clover (fake butter)No sticking, sealed all round fantastic toasties. Any burnt bits just wiped off the plates with the oil soaked kitchen towel.It feels sturdy and hard wearing and even if the handle clip does snap it looks like it will still make the toasties.Much better value than the cheapo supermarket own brand plastic versions that have food and drip traps all over them.I will review again in a few months
